Ticket Priority Designation

Summary

This is a guideline for helping users to determine the level of urgency needed for a ticket if/when necessary.

Priority Levels

Priority Definition Examples  
Emergency   Campus Wide impact Power Outage, Phone outage, Trees down, unsafe to be on campus  
High Building outage

Network is down in a building or department.  President's Office, VP's office, and their admins.  All tickets originating from the President's Office or any VP's Office are automatically escalated to High regardless of scope.

*Final Exams often times escalate Low or Medium incidents to HIGH. 

 
Medium Important and Needs quick attention, affects operations but does not impact an entire building Projector malfunction in a classroom, POS in DH,   
Low Regular ticket process Distribution lists, software needs, order a computer.

Additional Information

Mid-Terms and Final Exams often times escalate Low or Medium incidents to HIGH. Please be aware of other special events happening in and around campus that may signify an escalation due to circumstance of invited guests or scheduled appearances or performances.
