Network Account Credentials (username & password)
- Incoming freshman for fall semester typically receive their accounts in the spring once they have been matriculated.
- Graduate and transfer students receive their accounts about a week after they are fully enrolled.
- Your network credentials will be provided to you at the email address you used to apply to Furman.
- First email will contain your username
- Second email will contain your password
- Email will be sent from noreply.accounts@furman.onmicrosoft.com
- Passwords can be managed using the Furman Password Station
- Your Furman email address will be xxxx@furman.edu where xxxx is your username that you received.
- Account credentials should not be shared as per the Furman Network Security Policy
System Access
- MyFurman - Access to most university systems such as Workday, email, Moodle, etc. can be found in the MyFurman portal at the following address: my.furman.edu
- Duo - Furman uses Duo multi-factor authentication for several of our computer systems on campus such as Workday, email, etc. Please download and install the Duo Mobile app for your phone to ensure access to campus systems.
Internet Access
Furman has two different wireless systems for students. Make sure to configure both wireless networks for the best access while on campus.
- MyResnet – Network used in the Residence Halls
- FU-Student – Network used in the other campus buildings such as the academic buildings, Dining Hall, Library, PAC, etc. The IT Service Center hosts a special event during Fall Orientation to assist new students in installing the software necessary to use the FU-Student wireless network.
Computers
